The UTX-70 (15% smaller than the UTX-85) is a dual action mini out-the-front automatic knife from Microtech that’s one of the most friendly for everyday carry. The diminutive size is perfect for watch pocket or even key ring carry. This version has black hard anodized aluminum handles and a stonewashed, double edge M390 blade with one plain and one fully serrated cutting edge.

Blade: Stonewashed for a rugged, wear-hiding finish, the double edge blade has two razor sharp cutting edges:  one clean slicing plain edge and one fully serrated edge to make quick work of tough, fibrous materials. The dagger-like blade is made from high performance, Bohler M390 stainless steel in a sub-2.5 inch length. Operation is fast and smooth via the double action automatic mechanism. Simply move the thumb slide on the side of the handle up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear.

Handle: Smooth, black hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handles have rounded edges creating a comfortable feel in-hand and smooth pocket transition. Smaller and thinner than other OTFs, the UTX-70 has no jimping for a cleaner look perfect for gentleman’s carry. Construction is completed with Microtech’s proprietary hardware, glass breaker end and blasted pocket clip with individual serial number/date of production.

Bohler M390: A popular choice for high-end user grade knives thanks to its exceptional edge retention, M390 has a good corrosion resistance for minimal maintenance.
