Microtech UTX-70 Apocalyptic 204P Tanto OD Green OTF Automatic Knife 149-10APOD

The UTX-70 (30% smaller than the standard Ultratech) is a dual action mini out the front automatic knife from Microtech that’s one of the most friendly for everyday carry. The diminutive size is perfect for watch pocket or even key ring carry. This version has OD Green contoured aluminum handles and a plain Apocalyptic finished, single edge CTS-204P Tanto blade.

Blade: Equipped with a rugged, wear-hiding Apocalyptic finish, the single edge blade features a razor sharp cutting edge. The Tanto blade is made from high performance, American CTS-204P stainless steel. The sub-2.5 inch blade features a double action opening and retracting mechanism. Simply move the thumb slide on the side of the handle up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear. The action is smooth and fast.

Handle: Smooth, Green coated 6061-T6 aluminum has improved rounded edges creating not only a comfortable feel in-hand but a smooth transition in and out of your pocket. As the UTX-70 is much smaller and thinner they have left off the jimping for a cleaner look. This is a gentleman’s OTF automatic. The contoured handle design is easy on the hands and eyes. The handle’s construction is completed with Microtech’s proprietary Apocalyptic hardware, glass breaker end and pocket clip with individual serial number/date of production. 

CTS-204P: A highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless steel, CTS-204P has some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance available. CTS-204P is similar in performance to CPM-20CV and Bohler’s M390.
